What is an internship?
Internships are an excellent way to advance your skills in a field of your interest and studies. It is an opportunity for young adults to find a career path, test their capability to do certain kinds of work, and upgrade their CV. It is a favourable time for obtaining references from well known host organisations and develop links with industry and business. Internship is, except for the work experience, a great opportunity to improve your language skills, get to know the Czech culture and create new friendships.
The goal of an internship is gaining skills and getting work experience, so it is unpaid. Participants from the European Union can use mobility projects such as Erasmus+ (former Leonardo da Vinci) and Erasmus for the university students.
Internship programmes are meant especially for students and apprentices who want to gain real life skills and improve their education. Internships are also suitable for experienced people on labour market who are willing to gain new work experience from abroad.
The lenght of internship program is usually from 4 weeks to 6 months.
